Walk 9: Windrush/Wardens Way 21 mile ‘Challenge’

A self-guided walk on the waymarked Windrush Way and Wardens Way, through changing landscapes and tranquil hamlets with fine views along the route. Self-guided entrants receive a written guide including a map plus a pen and certificate for finishing. The route heads out along the Windrush Way taking in more remote countryside before a little lane walking to pick up the Wardens Way. The return journey passes though the lovely villages of Naunton and Guiting Power before Guiting Wood and panoramic views towards the end.

Terms and conditions for entering:  You need to be in good physical health to enter the Challenge walk and be good at map reading.  There is some road crossing and lane walking, be aware of traffic and take care. There will be one checkpoint and water stop midway outside the Black Horse pub in Naunton.

Participants must have a mobile telephone and they must contact the event team if they plan to drop out for any reason. We will require contact details and a back up phone number in case needed. We will have a walker sweeping up behind. Participants must have enough food and water. You will need to carry enough food and drink for the day and wear / carry suitable clothing and footwear.
