Walk 5: Winchcombe’s archaeology unearthed

£4.00

We meet at Postlip Mill car park (GL54 5BB) for a walk up the escarpment to Belas Knap. We then head across the Cotswolds plateau with a team, including the ecologists and archaeologists who have undertaken survey work uncovering some of the area’s secrets and revealing its wild residents. We hear what they have found during their investigations prior to National Grid enhancing the visual aspect of the landscape.

With a long history known to include neolithic, Roman and Medieval settlements, the archaeological finds from digs currently underway are likely to provide a fascinating insight into the plateau’s past.   Bring a picnic lunch.
