Walk 20: Winchcombe Meteorite walk

In February 2021 Winchcombe became world news when fragments of a meteorite landed in the town.  This walk includes visiting the drive where this happened and the route then takes in the beautiful open spaces of Cleeve Hill, with views of Woodmancote, where other fragments landed.

We return via Nottingham Hill through the field where other pieces of the meteorite were found.  Led by the people who own the drive, the walk ends with an optional visit to the museum to see meteorite stones on display. Refreshments available enroute or bring a picnic lunch.
