31 May New gate
The section of footpath from Castle Street towards Sudeley Castle has been significantly improved, with steps removed, new drainage installed, and a durable stone surface laid to connect with the track leading to the Sudeley Castle Visitor Centre.
This work completed a key missing link, creating a continuous 2.5-mile network of all-weather footpaths between Gretton Road and Corndean Lane. To mark this achievement, WWaW commissioned two local companies to design and create a bespoke gate incorporating specially commissioned artwork. We are grateful to Foregability for the metalwork and Kenelem Joinery for crafting the gate and integrating the artwork.
A celebration was held on 7 May, attended by councillors, representatives from local authorities, and other project partners. The event was kindly hosted by Sudeley Castle.
